When I first started working in multiplatform entertainment it was pretty tough finding live examples of the kind of work we were making. The first project was daunting… exclusive content 6 days a week for 21 weeks.

On top of that, our production schedule had to fit in with the production & broadcast schedule of the TV show we were extending online, and we were on the opposite side of the world.

Since that time, more and more rich quality interactive narratives have popped up (or at least moved into my field of consciousness). Unfortunately many of them are geo-IP blocked so I can’t provide links, but these are a few of my favourites.

CDX The Game: A collaboration between BBC History and Preloaded

The Passenger: For Nokia by Fuel Industries, Hyper Happen & Karbon Arc

Get The Glass: For “Got Milk” by Goodby, Silverstein & Partners

For me, Spooks Interactive and Find 815 are at the top of this category… for the depth of the storytelling as well as the TV quality production values. It’s no mean feat to integrate storylines from an existing property and deliver them online with the same flavour as the TV show they extend.

I’m looking forward to seeing (and producing) much more of this type of storytelling, that uses the best conventions from the web and from traditional media.

Please feel free to post links to other great interactive narrative sites.
