Jucy is the second feature film by Brisbane director Louise Alston. It’s the middle instalment in Louise’s trilogy of quarter-life crisis flicks and it’s a pleasure to be producing it. We’re shooting in Brisbane in January.

Jackie and Lucy (Jucy) are smart, funny, loyal, pot-smoking, computer-game playing 20-somethings looking for Mr Right… and the perfect job. Under constant pressure from family and other friends, and eventually through auditioning for the same role, Jucy seems destined to break up. It’s a cute, clever ‘womantic’ comedy and it’ll take you on a roller coaster ride through the highs and lows of putting all your friendship eggs in one basket.

The film is based on a story by Louise Alston about characters developed by Cindy Nelson and Francesca Gasteen. The script was written by Stephen Vagg.

Jucy is financed in part through the PFTC‘s New Screen Production Fund.
